About
Thirty-eight years in I.T., built into one product.
OpsPrompt is made by Greene Gator Technology. Here is why it exists, in the words of the person who built it.
From the mainframe to the job site
I started my career as a systems programmer on IBM mainframes. On a mainframe, the system simply has to work. The overnight jobs have to be right by morning, nothing reaches production until it has been tested and signed off, who can see what is decided on purpose, and every change leaves a record. Those habits never left me.
In 1998 I began providing I.T. services to businesses, and I have been doing it ever since: keeping their networks, servers, email and files running and secure. Working inside many different companies, I kept seeing the same thing.
The office has the computers, the shared drives, the handbook and the procedures. The people who do the actual work, the technicians and crews in the field, don't have a desk. They have a phone in a truck. When they need an answer, they call the office, and they wait. Or they guess.
I had been turning that problem over for a while, working out how it could be solved. Then two customers I have worked with for years each asked me, separately, whether AI could answer their crews' questions out in the field, straight from their own playbook. Hearing the same question from both of them is what got me building.
By then AI had gotten good at reading. Not at knowing everything, but at reading a company's own documents and answering a question about them in plain language. That was the missing piece. The answers were already written down. Now a technician could simply ask.
OpsPrompt is what 38 years in I.T. taught me, built into one product. I built it for the companies I have worked alongside for decades, and for the technician who shouldn't have to wait on hold for an answer the company already wrote down.

What experience put into the product
Every decision has a reason behind it
From the mainframe
Nothing goes out unchecked, and access is decided on purpose.
OpsPrompt answers only from documents your office publishes. Security levels decide who sees what before any answer is written. Every publish is recorded.
From 25+ years of I.T. services
Small companies don't have developers or time to spare.
So we do the setup, your crew signs in with the accounts they already have, a QR card replaces the install, and your office runs it from one page.
From watching crews work
Answers have to fit a phone and a busy day.
Short answers with the page they came from, in English or Spanish, and guided fixes that go one step at a time, safety steps first.
From being trusted with other companies' systems
Some things belong with a person.
Pay, leave and personal matters go straight to HR. Reports never show who asked what. We never use your documents or questions to train AI.
